"February 8th is the ______ Anniversary of the Boy Scout Program. In the year 1910, a British Army Officer named Baden-Powell incorporated the Boy Scouts of America in Washington, DC. "He started the program to teach boys basic skills in First Aid and Outdoor Survival. He believed in service to others, as well as duty to God and Country. Boy Scouts learn these skills through camping and other fun activities. Today the Boy Scout program is made up of 5 million scouts and leaders. The BSA was incorporated in 1910, so subtract 1910 from the current year. For example, it is the 97th anniversary in 2007 (2007 - 1910 = 97), and the 98th anniversary in 2008 (2008 - 1910 = 98).
